The law
The law sees a chair. You see family.
In most places a pet is legally property. Alaska, California, Illinois and New York now let judges weigh what is best for the animal, but those laws are written for divorce and legal separation. Plenty of pet owners are not married.
A signed agreement can say what the law does not.

Answer your questions

You send them a private link, or they scan a QR code. They read what you proposed, answer for themselves, and counter anything they would change.

The plans are below. Payment goes through Stripe, and the writing starts as soon as it clears.

The agreement, a plain English summary, a fairness check and a care profile for your pet.

Read and approve
Each of you reads all of it and approves it on your own. Nothing is signed until you both have.

Confirm who you are, then sign
Each of you confirms who you are once, then signs on a secure page. The signed PDF carries a QR code that anyone can check. Your pet has a plan in writing.
You get an agreement written from both your answers, a plain English summary beside it, and a signed PDF with a QR code. You do not get a promise about what a court will do.

4.2 Handovers happen at the park gate on Dufferin Street unless both agree otherwise.
Verify
Anyone can check a signed agreement.
Every signed agreement carries a contract number and a QR code. Hand the PDF to a vet, a landlord, a shelter, a lawyer or a judge, and they can ask for the signed copy on our verify page with the number and one of your last names. We ask both of you first, and they only get a copy if you both say yes.
